VISIT TO THE GLOBE THEATRE
Wednesday, June 18, 2008, 18:03

On Sunday 15th June 2008 a visit to the Globe Theatre in London was arranged by Captain Richard Sheridan, Commander of the Commandery of Westminster, for 55 members and guests of the Order.

The play was Shakespeare’s King Lear which lasted for some three hours, but was brilliantly produced and acted.

After the play everyone had a belated, but excellent, lunch and £550 was raised, through the sale of tickets, on behalf of The Saint Lazarus Hospice Association.

Amongst those present was the Master-General, John Baron von Hoff; the Grand Treasurer, Dame Commander Pauline Baroness von Hoff; the Chancellor, Lieutenant Colonel Roderick Morriss and Consœur Susanna Morriss; the Deputy Chancellor, Chevalier Joe Seydel and Consœur Rhiannon Seydel and a host of other members and guests.

Everyone present was grateful to the Commander and Consœur Patricia Sheridan for their sterling efforts in making this event such a spectacular success.
This event raised £800 for the Saint Lazarus Hospice Association.
