COMMANDERY OF COLCHESTER RAISES A THOUSAND POUNDS AT HOG ROAST

The Master-General, Frà John Baron Dudley von Sydow von Hoff and the Grand Treasurer, Dame Grand Cross Pauline Baroness von Sydow von Hoff attended a Grand Fund Raising ‘Hog Roast’, given by the Commander of Colchester, Confrère Karl Debenham CLJ and Consœur Mary Debenham MLJ in the gardens of their beautiful home .
 
Also present were the Vice-Chancellor, Captain Richard Sheridan KLJ OMLJ RA and the Secretary-General, Consœur Patrica Sheridan CLJ; the Chairman of the Saint Lazarus Hospice Association, Surgeon Commander Trevor Dutt RD CLJ RNR and his son; the Commander of Richmond, Consœur Bridget Whiting CLJ; Confrère Dan Schickentanz CLJ OMLJ and the Custodian of Insignia, Consœur Annette Schickentanz OLJ; Confrère David Rush OLJ and Consœur Amanda Rush MLJ and the Assistant Hospitaller, Confrère Michael Seed OLJ and his son. 
 
After a sumptuous and long lasting meal, most of which had been prepared by members of the Debenham family, a raffle was held which produced the noble sum of £1,000, a cheque for which was presented to the Master-General for the Saint Lazarus Hospice Association.

A Celebration of 15 years.

The 31st Investiture will be held on Saturday September 25th 2010 in the Priory Church of Saint Bartholomew’s at Smithfield, London. The service will include the Tenebrae Choir directed by Nigel Short, with the organ and trumpeters of the Priory Church.

Saint Lazarus Ladies Adidas Women's 5km Challenge September 5th 2010

If you want to join us on a (we promise!) fun day with 15,000 women of ages, please email us asking for a form. £15 will cover entry and a £5 donation to the Saint Lazarus Hospice Association. The run finishes with a well earned lunch and glass of wine or two at a local restaurant.
